Sign up your child for music lessons at Saint Mary School for the 2020-2021 school year!

It is now possible to sign up your child for music lessons at Saint Mary School for the 2020-2021 school year. Our professional teaching staff are looking forward to guiding students' progress on a variety of musical instruments. Students in grades 1 through 8 can learn piano, ukulele, and drums, while students in grades 3 through 8 can study the guitar, bass guitar, violin, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, and trumpet. We are also able to provide vocal lessons for students who are interested in improving their singing voices. These are available for children in grades 3 through 8.

This school year, we are offering private one-on-one lessons both during and after school. If your child takes lessons during the school day, we will work with their teachers to find the best time. This may mean that your child comes to their lesson during recess or at some other time that does not interfere with class work. Students who are taking lessons during the school day, with the exception of piano players and possibly drummers, must remember to bring their instruments to school on the day of their lesson. One-on-one lessons are possible this year because social distancing guidelines will be consistently maintained, and both students and teachers will wear face masks and sanitize their hands before and after each lesson.

Due to concerns over the spread of illness during this unprecedented school year, our teaching staff is also available for virtual lessons after dismissal. These types of lessons are great for students who can maintain a consistent level of focus and who have a quiet space at home in which their lessons can take place. The availability of virtual lessons will be determined by each teacher.

Parents, please print out the form, examine the information on it carefully, fill it out, and send it back to Saint Mary School by Friday, September 25th along with a full payment for the Fall Session to sign your child up for music lessons. Payments can be made with check or cash. Checks should be made out to Saint Mary School and placed in an envelope with "Att: Mr. B" and "Soundwaves" written on the front.
