SoundWaves Lessons
Grades 1-8
Learn to play an instrument through weekly lessons and various performance settings. While music is the subject of our mutual interest, the SoundWaves program is about more than merely hittin' the right notes. We aim to best meet our individual students' needs and provide opportunities them grow -- musically, verbally, socially, in faith, in confidence, in self-esteem, in work habits and to understand how they can be empowered to affect their own destiny.
SoundWaves Band
Grades 4-8
When it's time to take it to the next level, join the band and play fun music with your friends. We study different genres of music, and according to the skills of each individual musician there exist many opporunities to play "in the pocket" and shine as a soloist. This rockin' team typically performs in conjunction with TheatreWorks productions.
Saint Mary Singers
Grades 4-8
The Saint Mary Singers primary mission is to lead and support our congrgation's sung prayer with a variet of musical styles and instrumentations. The Saint Mary Singers is SMS’ premier musical performing group, and we enjoy leading weekly liturgies, regional performances, radio airplay, and we have recorded three consecutive Christmas albums. We are committed to being excellent. We work hard, have fun, and are ready to take advantage of opportunities that come our way.
TheatreWorks
Grades 6-8
With opportunities for actors, actresses, writers, choreographers, costume designers, musicians, artist, technical specialists and more, this team ties it all together! We very much enjoy rehearsing together as well as all other preparations we make for two big seasonal musicals performances as well as a host of other performances and events.
